Ghanaian musician Michael Adangba has released a peace song dubbed ”We Want Peace” ahead of the 2024 general elections.

The song calls for peace and unity among Ghanaians regardless of their political affiliation.

Adangba, in an interview with GhanaWeekend, divulged that “the song reminds us that elections are conducted every four years and we have only one Ghana so we need to think about the peace of the nation first.”

He stressed that freedom of speech is not a licence to insult one another but to minister peace and “give way to justice ..Let’s respect each other by using speeches for peace and not for violence”

According to him, he hopes the song will promote peace “before, during and after the elections.”

He rose to fame when his song “Banga Wego ei” was used as the soundtrack for ‘Ghana’s Most Beautiful’ TV program.
