Mawuena Dumor Trebarh to be buried on June 29

The family of the late Mawuena Adzo Dumor Trebarh, former CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), has announced the details of her funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Trebarh will be laid to rest on June 29.

The burial service will commence at 7 am at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka, Accra. Attendees are requested to dress in black attire for this solemn occasion.

A thanksgiving service in honour of Mrs. Trebarh, who passed away on April 10, will be held at the same Cathedral at 9:30 am on June 30. The attire for this service is black and white.

Prior to the funeral, friends and sympathisers are invited to pay their respects and offer condolences by signing a book of condolence at the residence of Prof. Ernest Dumor, the father of Mrs. Mawuena Trebarh.

Mrs. Trebarh was a prominent figure in Ghanaian business. She notably served as the first female CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) from 2013 to 2017.

Her career spanned various leadership roles across multiple industries and politics. She began her career as Ghana’s first female underground exploration geologist at Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd. She later held positions as head of Corporate Communications at Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd. and head of Corporate Services at Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN).

Mrs. Trebarh was also the founding director and Chief Business Strategist at Inspire Africa.

She is survived by her husband, Flt LT Divine Trebarh, and their daughter, Katherine Joy.
