Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has launched the ‘Ursula Foundation’ aimed at driving positive change in the constituency.

The Foundation is dedicated to addressing critical issues such as education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and youth development all in a bid to create a lasting impact on constituents.

This will be achieved through sustainable programmes and initiatives.

Speaking during the event, on Saturday, June 24, which was attended by community leaders, local residents, and dignitaries, Madam Owusu-Ekuful outlined her vision for the foundation.

“This foundation is a testament to our collective commitment to creating an opportunity for the people of Ablekuma to develop practical skills and knowledge to excel in various sectors of the economy. We all know that everyone deserves basic human rights and opportunity yet many are faced with barriers and challenges. The Ursula Foundation is here and will be our beacon of hope”, she stressed.

Madam Owusu-Ekuful who doubles as the Minister of Communication and Digitalisation stated that, this transformative foundation is a commitment to progress that transcends any political motive.

She said development in the constituency should not be politicised.

The MP cum Minister charged members of the various political parties to set aside their differences and support efforts to develop the Ablekuma constituency adding that the Foundation will serve all individuals regardless of their political affiliations.

“Our aspirations are to ensure equal opportunities for everyone. No person must be left behind in our efforts to transform our constituency into a model constituency. Our foundation embodies this grace, a beacon of hope for those who seek a brighter path. From my days as a charcoal seller to serving in public office, I’ve learned the values of compassion, service, and resilience. Leadership isn’t just about accomplishments; it’s about how those achievements uplift others.”

There were donations worth hundreds of thousands of cedis from some well-wishers to assist in the running of the Foundation.
