A catastrophic fire, reportedly sparked by a faulty ECG meter and exacerbated by a subsequent gas explosion, has destroyed a house in Lebanon Zone 2, Ashaiman.

The incident has caused extensive damage and left the residents in a state of shock.

The fire, which started due to a malfunctioning ECG meter, was further fueled by a gas explosion, reportedly caused by individuals using gas cylinders in the house for food preparation.

The blaze quickly engulfed the entire house, leaving nothing but ashes in its wake.

Fortunately despite the severity of the fire, no lives were lost, and no injuries were reported.

However, the residents have suffered significant material losses. Valuables, including various assets and an undisclosed amount of money, were consumed by the flames.

The fire has had a devastating impact on the tenants and several families who resided in the house, rendering them homeless.
