Deputy Minister-designate for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Sampson Ahi, has dismissed claims that the Akufo-Addo administration constructed roads in the Bodi District during its eight-year tenure.

His remarks come in response to assertions by Okaikwei Central MP, Patrick Boamah, that the NPP government developed roads in the area.

“A big false, you [NPP government] didn’t even add one inch of tarred road in 8 years in Bodi district,” Ahi stated firmly.

Appearing before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Monday, February 24, he challenged his critics to provide evidence, expressing his readiness to withdraw his statement if proven wrong.

“If the Hon. Member [Patrick Boamah] can show me where they tarred the road, I will be happy to retract my statement,” Ahi added.
