Access Bank Ghana has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to cybersecurity, securing the prestigious ‘Excellence in Data Security’ award at the Innovation and Excellence Awards 2025.

The event, held at the Kempinski Hotel on February 19, 2025, brought together industry leaders and experts to celebrate the best in innovation and corporate excellence.

This recognition is another evidence of Access Bank Ghana’s dedication to ensuring the highest levels of data protection, cybersecurity, and risk management across its operations.

The bank continues to invest in cutting-edge security technologies, robust frameworks, and employee training to safeguard customer data and maintain trust in the digital banking space.

Acknowledging the award, Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Olumide Olatunji said “this award reaffirms our commitment to upholding the highest cybersecurity standards and ensuring our customers’ data remains safe.

In today’s digital age, security is at the heart of financial services, and we will continue to innovate and strengthen our defences against emerging threats and provide unparalleled digital security to our customers”.

Chief Cybersecurity Officer of Access Bank Ghana, Seth Frimpong-Manso added “we understand the critical importance of safeguarding our clients’ information and assets, and this certification further empowers us to deliver on that promise with even greater efficacy”.

Access Bank Ghana is an accredited Cyber Security Establishment from the Cyber Security Authority of Ghana. This certification authorizes Access Bank to offer Managed Cyber Security and Digital Forensic Services.

This certification positions the bank to provide comprehensive cybersecurity solutions that include advanced threat detection, incident response, and digital forensics. These services are crucial in today’s digital landscape, where the frequency and sophistication of cyber-attacks are continuously increasing.

Access Bank’s unwavering commitment to cybersecurity and data protection has won it numerous recognitions including the Best Company in Data Security Management Practices 2024 at the Health, Environment, Safety, and Security (HESS) awards.

The bank presently operates through over 700 branches and service outlets in 15 African countries with presence in the UAE, UK, France, Hong Kong and three representative offices in China, India, and Lebanon. Access Bank ranks among Africa’s top 10 banks.
