Legacy Girls’ College, the first all-girls private school in Ghana has launched its momentous 10th Anniversary Celebrations.

Founded by visionary leaders Ellen Maama Hagan and Essie Anno Sackey, Legacy Girls’ College has been at the forefront of transforming the education of young women, empowering them to become trailblazers and leaders of tomorrow.

In just under a decade, Legacy Girls’ College has built a powerful legacy of excellence, integrity, and innovation, fostering an environment where girls are encouraged to dream big and reach their full potential. The college has not only produced academic achievers but also nurtured young women who are confident, resilient, and ready to make a difference in their communities and beyond.

This milestone is a testament to the grace of God, the hard work, dedication, and vision of the founders, board, staff, students as well as the good partnership with parents, clergy, community leaders, and friends of the school who have helped shape the school into a beacon of empowerment and change.

“Our mission from day one has been to create an environment where girls are not only educated but truly empowered,” says Ellen Maama Hagan, co-founder of Legacy Girls’ College. “We wanted to build a legacy that would inspire generations to come, and today, we can proudly say that we are living that vision.”

We were extremely delighted and thankful for the show of solidarity by sister schools including Akuse Methodist Technical School, Akosombo International School, Ghana Christian International High School, Krobo Girls Senior High School, Tema International School and Ghana International School.

To mark this incredible achievement, Legacy Girls’ College will host a series of exciting events, activities, and community outreach programs throughout the year, culminating in a grand celebration that honours the spirit of sisterhood, resilience, and academic excellence. Activities for the celebration will include:
● Inspirational talks by renowned female leaders and trailblazers
● Empowerment workshops focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, and self-discovery
● A legacy showcase highlighting the achievements of past and present students
● A community service initiative to give back to the society that has supported the school’s journey
● Radio and TV Appearances
● Science fair
● Career fair
● AU Day
● Book fair
● Legacy Clean-up Drive
● Donation to orphanages
● Revisiting the impact
● DRAMAFEST

Legacy Girls’ College’s 10th Anniversary is not just a celebration of the past, but a bold step towards a future where girls everywhere can unlock their full potential.
