‘Get ready to spoil mum’: Achimota Mall celebrates Mother’s Day all month long

Achimota Retail Centre has lined up an exciting array of activities, including interactive gifting events, creative workshops, and fun-filled entertainment, throughout the month of May to honour mothers and families.

The Centre’s itinerary for ‘spoiling mum’ began early in the month, when the Brown Berry band was brought in to provide live music on Workers’ Day and set the tone for a ‘motherly’ ambience, while patrons and shoppers celebrated workers of the country.

On Saturday, May 10, a free Kids Craft Station opens, where children can unleash their creative potential in crafting personal masterpieces like custom-made mugs, Mother’s Day card cut-outs, paintings and customised hand-printed designs to celebrate their mothers.

The excitement intensifies on Sunday, May 11, when the ‘Games Day with Mum’ begins and the centre comes alive with a variety of games like the ball colour sorting, balloon pop challenge, etc., between shoppers, children and their mothers. Some of the action will be shared live on the Centre’s social media platforms.

Later in the evening of Mothers’ Day comes the highly anticipated segment – ‘a Date with Mum’ and ‘the Mother’s Day Diner’, which will feature selected mothers enjoying an all-expense paid dinner treat at the food court.

Beyond May 11, ARC will keep basking in the Mother’s Day aura, as shoppers, kids and their mothers will continue to be treated to fine doses of recreational gigs and amusement. The curtain will be lowered on this year’s Mother’s Day celebration with a loud ‘Bang!’ on May 23, with the Centre’s popular Friday Night live band performance.

As the month unfolds, ARC’s “Love You, Mum” campaign promises to be a memorable celebration of motherhood, and with its exciting line-up of recreational gigs, thoughtful gift ideas, and shopping opportunities, there’s surely something for everyone to explore and enjoy.
