Education is a fundamental right,  but for many students with special needs, access to quality learning remains a challenge. As technology continues to transform how we teach and learn, one critical question arises: How can EdTech be harnessed to ensure that every learner, regardless of ability, is supported and included? This October, EdTech Mondays will delve into this essential conversation under the theme “EdTech for Special Needs: Inclusive Education for All.” Moderated by Bernard Avle, this month’s episode airs live on Citi 97.3 FM and streams on MEST Africa’s YouTube and Facebook pages, with television broadcasts on TV3 and ChannelOne TV on Monday, October 27, at 9:00 am.

Inclusive education is not just about placing students with disabilities in mainstream classrooms; it’s about designing systems, tools, and learning experiences that meet diverse needs and create equal opportunities for all learners. w pathways for engagement and growth. EdTech has the power to break down barriers, offering personalized tools, adaptive content, assistive devices, and innovative teaching methods that make learning more accessible and engaging for every learner.

This month, our discussion will explore how technology is driving transformative change in special needs education, from empowering disability advocacy and strengthening social welfare systems to enhancing classroom support and creating inclusive learning ecosystems. We will examine how EdTech can complement government and community interventions, enhance collaboration between schools and families, and facilitate more responsive and affordable solutions for learners with diverse abilities. The conversation will also highlight emerging innovations across Ghana and Africa that are redefining what inclusive education can look like.

Listeners and viewers can expect practical insights into how technology is already helping students with disabilities learn, connect, and thrive, through tools such as speech recognition and sensory-friendly apps, as well as platforms designed for autism support and cognitive development. By showcasing real-world examples and expert perspectives, the episode will underscore how inclusive EdTech is not just an educational imperative but also a driver of equity, innovation, and social progress.

EdTech Mondays remains a platform where educators, innovators, policymakers, and communities converge to shape the future of learning. This October, we invite you to join us as we reimagine education through the lens of inclusion — and explore how technology can help ensure that no learner is left behind.

Mark your calendar for Monday, October 27, at 9:00 am on Citi 97.3 FM, TV3, and ChannelOne TV, or tune in to the live stream on MEST Africa’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Don’t miss this timely discussion on how EdTech can advance inclusive education for all.
