Animal Farm justice’: NPP’s Justin Kodua accuses AG and Judiciary of bias

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has accused the Attorney General and the Judiciary of colluding in a manner that demonstrates bias and undermines public confidence in the justice system.

Addressing a press conference on recent national developments on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Mr. Kodua Frimpong described what he called the government’s “shameful” approach to the rule of law, alleging that the Attorney General, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has been conducting media trials of individuals perceived to be political opponents in ongoing corruption cases.

“When a person is accused of a crime, the law requires that they be arraigned before a court and presumed innocent until proven guilty. But the Attorney General prefers to go to the media and pronounce an accused person guilty,” he said.

Mr. Kodua Frimpong cited the case of a young man identified as Kwesi Botchway Jnr., who was reportedly threatened with contempt by a sitting judge for making public comments on a case, while the Attorney General’s own statements have gone unchecked.

“We have a young gentleman, Kwesi Botchway Jnr., who made some statements, and a sitting judge threatened to cite him for contempt.

“However, Dr. Dominic Ayine makes prejudicial statements, yet our judges remain silent. Indeed, the Animal Farm is working under the administration of John Dramani Mahama,” he stated.
