The Founder and Leader of the United Front Party (UFP), Nana Agyenim Boateng, known as Gyataba, has urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rally behind Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum in the party’s flagbearer race.
According to him, the former Minister of Education and MP for Bosomtwe stands tall among all ministers in the Akufo-Addo administration, citing his dedication to the party and his service to the nation.
Speaking during Dr. Adutwum’s campaign tour of the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, on November 25, Gyataba described the former minister as the most competent candidate capable of leading the NPP to victory in the 2028 polls.
He said the NPP needs a “Power-winning candidate, not just a flagbearer,” adding that Dr. Adutwum’s leadership record makes him the party’s strongest option.
Gyataba also appealed to all NPP delegates in the Ashanti Region to throw their support behind Dr. Adutwum, stressing that as the only candidate from the region, he is best positioned to return the party to power in 2028.
“NPP delegates should choose him because Ghanaians are ready for him. The NPP needs a presidential aspirant who can win, not just anybody. They need real presidential material. And when they choose Dr. Adutwum, they will support him, and he will deliver power for the party.
“In my view, Dr. Adutwum is the best candidate among the aspirants — someone anyone can confidently point to and say, ‘He has done this and that.’ He is the best man,” he said.
