Presidential aspirant Dr. Bryan Acheampong has expressed confidence of a decisive victory in the upcoming New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer primary.

Asked whether he was winning the election after signing a peace pact in Accra on Thursday, January 22, Dr. Acheampong responded: “Hands down. I am saying hands down. You will see.”

He said his confidence is based on what he described as extensive nationwide campaigning over the past four months.

“I have been around the country. I have campaigned very hard in the last four months. I am the first person to have finished my campaign to start a mop up in some regions of this country,” he said.

Dr. Acheampong also cited his long experience in electoral contests as a key advantage.

“I have been in elections since 1992. If you will win you will know. If you will lose you will know and if you have to fear delegates you will know,” he said.

He further expressed faith in a strong showing at the polls.

“I know what’s going on and I know God is going to give me a big win next weekend,” he added.
