The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced the completion of designs and site preparations for the Mepe-Sege road project.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, February 1, Ablakwa expressed gratitude to President John Mahama and the Roads Minister, Governs Agbodza  for awarding numerous road projects to credible contractors in the constituency.
“I assessed preparations for the commencement of work on the Mepe-Sege road project with engineers assigned to the project,” Ablakwa wrote.

The Mepe-Sege road, spanning 31.20 kilometres, was awarded to Messrs Shenashe Limited on November 11, 2025. The first-class road is expected to be completed within 24 months.
According to the MP, the road is strategically important, as it will boost economic activity, improve public health by providing convenient access to Battor Catholic Hospital and the Mepe Health Facility, and establish a vital agricultural corridor to transport farm produce from one of Ghana’s key farming regions.
Ablakwa also highlighted other major infrastructure projects in North Tongu, including:

1.Volivo to Dorfor Adidome Bridge
2. Juapong-Podoe-Abutia Road
3. Frankadua-Podoe-Adidome Road
4. Aveyime-Asutsuare Road
5. Completion works on the Juapong-Volo-Adidome Road

He pledged to continue lobbying for strategic projects to transform the constituency.

“Together, we shall transform our beautiful constituency,” Ablakwa added.
