GCB Bank PLC has held a national thanksgiving service at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) to express gratitude to God for the bank’s growth and achievements.
The service, held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, brought together the Managing Director, Mr Faran, members of the Board of Directors, management, and staff of the bank.
Rev. Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ghana Immigration Service, delivered the sermon.
He called on Ghanaians to acknowledge God’s mercy and favour in all their achievements and to respond to divine blessings with humility, gratitude, diligence, and generosity towards others.
Referencing 2 Samuel 9, Rev. Wengam emphasised that prosperity and success do not require corruption, stressing that God’s favour, mercy, and hard work are sufficient for achieving lasting wealth and progress.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of GCB Bank expressed gratitude to God for the bank’s journey and thanked staff for their loyalty, dedication, and commitment to duty. He expressed optimism that the bank would attain greater heights in the years ahead.
Tehilla Cedars of Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon, and gospel musician Nacee provided music at the thanksgiving service.
