The maiden agricultural technology exhibition, the Ghana Agricultural and Agro-Processing Industrial Technology Fair (Ghana Agrotech Fair 2026) opens in Accra from March 17 to 19, 2026, at Independence Square.

The Fair is being organised by the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry and the Ghana Export-Import Bank (Ghana EXIM Bank) as part of efforts to accelerate industrialisation, promote export development, and position technology and innovation at the heart of Ghana’s agricultural transformation.

The three-day Agrotech Fair, being held under the theme “Transforming Agribusiness through Local Innovation and Technology,” will showcase locally developed agricultural machinery, agro-processing equipment, and emerging technologies aimed at improving productivity and strengthening value addition within the sector.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, will officially open the Fair alongside the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and the Chief Executive of Ghana EXIM Bank, Hon Sylvester Adinam Mensah, underscoring government’s commitment to building a modern, competitive and export-driven agricultural economy.

As part of its mandate to support industrialisation and export development, Ghana EXIM Bank is leading the initiative in collaboration with key public and private sector stakeholders. The Fair is designed to highlight the role of innovation and technology in transforming agriculture and agro-processing while promoting locally manufactured solutions.

In a Facebook post, the Chief Executive of Ghana EXIM Bank stated, “the maiden Ghana Agricultural and Agro-Processing Industrial Technology Fair (GHANA AGROTECH FAIR 2026) is a flagship platform designed to spotlight Ghana’s locally manufactured agricultural machinery, implements, agro-processing equipment, and cutting-edge technologies.”

He added that “the Fair brings together key actors across the entire agricultural value chain — including manufacturers, technology developers, farmers, fishers, processors, exporters, investors, and policymakers — to connect, exchange ideas, and unlock practical solutions.”

Ghana Agrotech Fair 2026 will feature exhibitions, masterclasses, policy dialogues, business matchmaking sessions, and technical demonstrations aimed at linking innovation with enterprise. Participants will be exposed to modern farming technologies, agro-processing systems, digital agriculture tools, packaging solutions, and sustainable production methods.

The initiative aligns with government’s broader agenda to modernise agriculture, promote import substitution, expand agro-processing capacity, and enhance competitiveness in regional and global markets. Organisers expect the Fair to catalyse investment, encourage partnerships, and support job creation across the agricultural value chain.

Hon. Mensah further noted that “Agrotech Fair 2026 is purpose-built to catalyse investment, drive innovation, and accelerate agro-industrial transformation for sustainable growth and jobs.”

The Fair is open to the general public, particularly stakeholders in agriculture and agribusiness, technical institutions, farmer-based organisations (FBOs), Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), universities, agritech companies, investors, and industry players interested in advancing Ghana’s agro-industrial future.

The fair is one of many activities being held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Ghana EXIM Bank, which was established as the principal export finance institution of the government of Ghana.
