Bank of Africa Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises as it seeks to strengthen its role in Ghana’s economic landscape.

The renewed focus comes as Group CEO of Bank of Africa BMCE Group, Amine Bouabid, paid a three-day working visit to Ghana, engaging customers and key stakeholders.

Speaking to journalists at a cocktail held in his honour on April 25, Managing Director of Bank of Africa Ghana, Abderrahmane Belbachir, said the bank is intensifying efforts to support SMEs while delivering tailored products across its customer base.

“We want to develop the bank strongly and be a strong actor in the economic landscape of Ghana. We are supporting SMEs… and doing our best to provide the right products to each segment of customers,” he said.

Building on this, Managing Director of Bank of Africa Ghana, Abderrahmane Belbachir, said the bank is positioning itself as a strong player in Ghana’s economic landscape by expanding support for SMEs and delivering tailored products across its customer segments, noting that the goal is to provide the right solutions to meet the diverse needs of its clients.

Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Bank of Africa Ghana, Leila Pentsil, said the visit also highlighted key initiatives aimed at expanding access to finance.

These include an enhanced SME support facility and a dedicated women’s banking desk designed to meet the needs of underserved groups.

She added that Bank of Africa Ghana, which has operated in the country for over four decades, continues to distinguish itself through a segmented approach to customer service, with dedicated relationship officers for different client groups.

The bank says these efforts are part of a broader strategy to drive inclusive growth, support local businesses and strengthen its footprint in Ghana’s financial sector.
