The University of Leicester Ghana Alumni has reaffirmed its commitment to building strong partnerships and collaborations with international partners.
‎
‎The commitment was made at the 2026 University of Leicester Alumni and Partners Reception, which brought together global partners to connect and strengthen ties.
‎
‎Speaking at the event, President of the Leicester Ghana Alumni Chapter, Emmanuel Kwashie Agbodzi, called on international partners to collaborate in exploring scholarship opportunities, among others.

“We need to connect with the university. Let’s explore scholarship, research, and how we can promote the next generation of Ghanaian students at Leicester,” he said
‎
‎Head of Strategic Partnerships and Diaspora Relations at the British High Commission in Accra, Pamela Bassah, also expressed the Commission’s commitment to continued collaboration with university alumni to help bridge educational gaps.

“When you have a university like Leicester pioneering artificial intelligence, space innovation, healthcare, diabetes research, and cancer research, you already have the energy and the power of a really good university. It’s now a case of staying together as alumni, as partners, and increasing those collaborations,” he added.
