A 36-year-old man, Kwabena Anokye, has been brutally killed following a violent confrontation over a woman at Offinso Agyimpra in the Ashanti Region.

The deceased was allegedly killed by Akwasi Anyom after a heated dispute involving a woman identified as Adwubi.

According to a local reporter, Daniel Offei, Anokye previously had a child with Adwubi, who later left him to be with Anyom.

Unable to accept the separation, Anokye reportedly stormed Anyom’s residence in the early hours of Friday, May 1, 2026, at about 12:00 a.m., gaining entry through a window and demanding that Adwubi return to him.

The situation quickly escalated into a violent confrontation. Adwubi is said to have fled the scene, leaving the two men engaged in a brutal fight, which resulted in Anokye’s death.

Anyom sustained machete wounds during the altercation and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged and is assisting police with investigations.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue, while investigations are ongoing.
