Ghana recorded 96,000 passenger arrivals in March 2026, signalling sustained activity in the country’s travel and aviation sector despite global economic pressures.
The latest figure captured in the Bank of Ghana’s Summary of Economic and Financial Charts reflects continued demand for travel into the country.
The performance underscores Ghana’s growing role as a regional destination for business travel, conferences, tourism and investment-related activity within West Africa.
The March arrivals data also points to steady recovery momentum in the aviation and hospitality sectors, with increased passenger traffic expected to support hotels, transport operators, restaurants and other tourism-linked businesses.
The sustained passenger inflows could further strengthen confidence in Ghana’s services sector as airlines continue to expand connectivity into Accra and other parts of the sub-region.
The latest numbers come at a time when several African countries are intensifying efforts to attract international travellers and position themselves as preferred hubs for commerce and tourism.
Industry players are however expected to keep close watch on infrastructure capacity, airport efficiency and travel facilitation measures as competition for passenger traffic across the region continues to rise.
