2026 Northern Business Fair open to businesses nationwide – Frema Adunyame

The 2026 edition of the Northern Business Fair has been opened to businesses across Ghana, with organisers urging companies outside the northern sector to take advantage of the platform to access new markets and showcase their products and services.

The fair is designed to serve as a sales and exhibition platform for businesses to promote indigenous Ghanaian products, innovations and services to consumers within and outside the country.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s Breakfast Daily on Tuesday, July 14, Frema Adunyame, Head of Events and Partnerships at Channel One TV and Citi FM, explained that the event focuses on creating opportunities for businesses that produce locally made goods and offer homegrown services.

“The Northern Business Fair is a platform where we are marketing and showcasing all the things we do from northern Ghana. We are talking about small, medium and large-scale businesses, and it is an opportunity to tell Ghanaians and the world what you are doing,” she said.
According to her, participation in the fair is not restricted to a particular sector, as businesses operating in areas such as agriculture, automobile, hospitality, education, health, fashion, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, tourism and other service industries are eligible to exhibit.

However, she stressed that the key requirement for businesses seeking to participate is that their products or services must be indigenous and made in Ghana.

“We had feedback from people who said their businesses are not really in the northern part of Ghana, but they want to enter that market. So, this time around, we are opening up for all businesses,” she explained.

Frema Adunyame encouraged businesses based in Accra, the Ashanti Region and other parts of the country to consider the fair as an opportunity to build partnerships and expand their customer base in the northern sector.

The 2026 Northern Business Fair, sponsored by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Ecobank and the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), will be held from July 25 to July 26 at Jubilee Park in Tamale.

The two-day event will provide participating businesses with the opportunity to showcase Made-in-Ghana products, connect with potential customers and explore avenues for business growth.
