Zylofon Cash signs 5 year deal to sponsor the Ghana Premier League

The long wait for a sponsor for the Ghana Premier League is over, as Zylofon Cash, a subsidiary of the Zylofon Group was unveiled as the new sponsor for the league on Thursday.

The  deal is reportedly worth $10 million over a five year period, with all 16 Ghana Premier League club’s expected to receive a combined sum of $2 million annually over the period.

The league will now be known as the Zylofon Cash Premier League.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Group, Nana Appiah Mensah  spoke of his company’s pride in partnering with the GFA.

”Zylofon Cash has proudly taken a decision to be the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League.

“We are aiming to use our brand to help the development of football in the country, and there is no better place to start than supporting the local league,” he said.

The Ghana Premier League has been without a headline sponsor for three years, after Capital Plus Bank pulled out of their deal.

This deal will certainly be good news to the ears of many football lovers in the country.
