Wapic Insurance donates to Dream Africa Care Foundation

As part of the company’s 2018 Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives and commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged in the society, the Staff and Management of Wapic Insurance (Ghana) Limited visited the “Shelter for Neglected Children” a Dream Africa Care Foundation (DACF) project, located at Teshie- Nungua, in the Greater Accra region, where they donated food items, toiletries and school uniforms to the children.

During the presentation of the gifts, the Managing Director of Wapic Insurance (Ghana) Limited, Mr. Adedayo Arowojolu, stated that “it is the company’s goal to be responsible for the environment and is determined to make the children feel important and cared for.

He stated that “Wapic is also poised to ensuring these children have hope for the future by being part of their future success story.”

“Every company is expected to be responsible for the environment in which they operate, and this is why we have taken this initiative to assist these children in achieving their dreams. As an organization, we are excited to be a part of this project. We have looked at the operations of Dream Africa Care Foundation and we want to help them fulfill their dreams and objectives. We are happy to be affiliated with the Dream Africa team and will work together to ensure our environment and country gets better’’ he added.

The Project Coordinator of Dream Africa Care Foundation, Prince Jamal Issakar, thanked the management and Staff of Wapic Insurance (Ghana) Limited for the kind gesture which he described as “indeed timely.”

“We really appreciate this donation. It will go a long way in helping to shelter the kids. Wapic has been very supportive for the past two years in putting up a school structure at Agbogbloshie. Over the years, they have sustained us with furniture, educational materials and they are here again with more gifts. This is a very laudable initiative and we encourage other corporate organisations to get involved in community projects’’ He said.

Wapic has been in partnership with Dream Africa Care Foundation for the last two years, and have since been committed to impacting and enriching the lives of the children of the Foundation.
