Ghanaian Christian-based social network, LoveRealm, has rebranded into GospelBuddy.
LoveRealm was set up as a safe place for Christians to find solace, interact and grow their faith.
“Our original intent for LoveRealm was to create a safe place for believers to connect. Over the years however, we noticed that the majority of our users used the app mainly to find friends and relationships. Several marriages have come off our platform. In order to simplify the experience and avoid confusing users, we decided to unambiguously maintain our faith-based activities on GospelBuddy,” the new COO of LoveRealm, Tracey Berger said to citinewsroom.com.
When asked about what will happen to LoveRealm, the CEO of the company, Dr. Yaw Ansong Jnr, said, “Whilst our faith-based activity remains on GospelBuddy, LoveRealm is being redeveloped into a platform to help people form meaningful long-lasting relationships.”
“With divorce statistics rising to alarming levels, coupled with positive feedback and market insight, we believe we will be a lasting solution to this problem.”
The two brands (GospelBuddy and LoveRealm) will be united under the LoveRealm Group. The company has also announced that its headquarters has been moved from Ghana to the United States.
