A team of investigators assigned to the Emile Short Commission of Inquiry have visited the crime scene in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

The  National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Parliamentary candidate, Delali Brempong who appeared before the commission on Wednesday said he saw a number of people who sustained wounds and during the violence that characterised the by-election held in the area.

Delali also said he was able to count about 15 holes created by bullets fired on some trees and containers near his residence at La-Bawaleshie where some of the violent attacks took place.

Giving his account on what transpired at his residence to the Justice Emile Short commission, Mr. Brempong explained that there were a number of shots from the masked armed men deployed by the National Security to provide security during the election.

Mr. Delali Brempong who went to the commission in the company of his lawyers, Dominic Ayine and Francis Xavier Sosu also said he was not in the house during the attack.

He said most of the things he told the commission were eyewitness accounts.

He said his son who was in the bathroom when the incident happened rushed out to catch a glimpse of the commotion.

He also rejected claims that his house was used as a warehouse for weapons.

The investigators deployed by the Emile Short Commission were accompanied by Mr. Delali Brempong and his lawyers.
