The police in a statement said the suspect, “who is yet to be identified, killed the Fulani man with a gun and buried the body near the stream.”

It added that “a Fulani woman Ayishietu Isahaku who was also fetching water at the stream saw the act and reported the matter to the deceased elder brother, Alhaji Tijani who also reported to the Assemblyman of the Area [one] Titus, The Assemblyman also reported same to the Joint police and military team led by the District commander ASP Mr Alex Nyankra Yagane.”

The officers went to the village and met with the elder brother of the deceased, who led the team to the place where the body of the deceased was buried.
