GIG mobility services launched in Ghana

November 23, 2019
ShareShareShareShare

In a bid to ease the stress associated with travelling in the country, a technologically road powered transport platform, GIG Mobility (GIGM) has entered Ghana’s intercity transportation sector to move individuals freely and easily from one location to another.

It has pledged to deliver quality service, comfort, and safety ahead of the opening of its flagship terminals in Accra and Kumasi.

The Chief Operating Officer of GIGM, Madam Vuakpor Muoghereh said the expansion into Ghana was in line with the company’s agenda to provide great customer experience for commuters across Africa.

“With over 20 years in service to travellers, we have consistently reinvented the wheel by focusing on exceptional customer experience, leveraging technology to build innovative solutions,” she said.

“From our professional captains (drivers) we have carefully screened and gone through continuous professional development, to our fleet, which is by all standards the best in the industry and then to our safety procedures which are meticulously followed through.”

She noted that the transport company had launched several technology-driven tools including; its booking app available on Google play store and iOS for Apple users aimed at redefining the transportation sector.

Vuakpor Muoghereh said that part of the innovation the company was bringing into the Ghanaian transportation market was the introduction of their mobile app for ticket booking, vehicle hire and pick up service.

“This introduces a more convenient way to travel as opposed to the conventional wait and fill model for interstate travel. Booking tickets on the GIGM app is easy and can be done in less than five minutes from the comfort zone of the user,” she said.

“The user simply needs to download the GIGM app on the Google play store and the app store for iOS (Apple) users and sign up and commence use by filling up the itinerary for travel. Using the GIGM pick up service is a lot more convenient and faster. You simply indicate your destination under the pick-me-up button the mobile app and the nearest pickup points are displayed for selection.

“GIGM is contributing to global transportation where commuters have the power to move around cities at their convenience. We are also delighted to be players and contributors to the growing economy in Ghana,” the statement said.

She disclosed that the company would offer discounted rates from Accra to Kumasi to enable customers to get a feel of their new service.

GIG Mobility (GIGM), a member of the GIG Group, is a technologically powered transport platform, providing mobility services for people across Africa.
