Dormaahene celebrates 20 years of enstoolment

The Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II is celebrating 20 years of his enstoolment as the Omanhene of the Dormaa Traditional Area in the Bono Region.

The anniversary is under the theme: “20 years of stewardship: Using Tradition and Culture for Development.”

The annual Kwafie Festival is being celebrated as part of the anniversary.

The celebration started with traditional rites and Muslim prayers at Dormaa Ahenkro Central Mosque, Christian Prayers would be said throughout the Dormaa Traditional Area.

There would also be a remembrance of ancestors at Abanpredease- Bomaa and Amanfoso- Abesim.

The new Dormaa Divisional Police Headquarters would be commissioned and would be followed up with the inauguration of the Dormaa Development Commission.

According to the Dormaa Traditional Council, there would be a health walk, screening, and inter-school quiz competition. local dishes would be prepared as part of the anniversary.

The anniversary would be climaxed with a grand durbar at Nana Agyemang Badu Sports Stadium and would be graced by the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo on 21st of December, 2019.
