Safe Haven Cancer Centre to embark on Health walk on October 2

The Safe Haven Cancer Support Centre will on Saturday, October 2, embark on a 5km health walk in Accra to create awareness on Breast Cancer.

The walk which will take place in some principal streets of Accra will kick off at 7 am from the Accra Ridge Church.

Participants will go through Ethiopia Close and through Guinea Bissau street to Castle Road. They will also move through Angola Avenue through to Abdul Gammer Nasser Avenue and end up at the Accra Ridge Church.

The Health Walk will be followed by a Health Talk on Sunday, October 3, under the theme Breast Cancer Treatment, Both Body and Mind. The health talk will take place concurrently in Accra at 7pm, 3pm in Canada and 8pm in UK.

You can join the walk by signing up on the Facebook page of the Safe Haven Cancer Support Centre.

The Safe Haven Cancer Support Centre and Safe Haven Cancer Society are organizations that were started after the co-founder Janet Brakohiapa went through the cancer treatments which saved her life.
