The Dynamic Youth Movement of Ghana (DYMOG), has condemned the killing of Ahmed Hussein- Suale, a member of the Tiger Eye Private Investigation team.
According to the movement, although Ahmed died under bizarre circumstances, his demise has rather spurred them on not to give up the fight against corruption which continues to bedevil the country.
“DYMOG wants to assure all Ghanaians that, the murder of Ahmed will not derail the youth in the fight against corruption”, the group said in a statement.
[contextly_sidebar id=”IhQpgmq3ZxrHOARlJqNYxKPl7qRPq4mG”]Whilst commiserating with the bereaved family, the movement also wants the death of the investigator thoroughly looked at in a manner in which justice is served, and the perpetrators brought to book.
“We hope that the investigation of this murder doesn’t become a wild goose chase as the world is watching to see nothing less than justice delivered.”
Ahmed, who led the team in the Number 12 investigative piece on corruption in Ghana football, was killed by two gunmen on a motorbike who shot into the car he was driving at Madina on the night of January 16, 2019..
His boss, Anas Aremeyaw Anas in a message on Facebook announced the death, saying Ahmed was hit three times; twice in the chest and once in the neck following which he died on the spot.
Although the police has already began investigations, his death has prompted many social media users as well as local and international bodies to call for the country’s security agencies to pick up Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, for his comments inciting violence against the murdered investigator.
Mr. Agyapong has howver distanced himself from the death of the investigator saying that he [Ahmed Hussein-Suale] is irrelevant to his life hence cannot fathom why people will link his death to him despite publicly inciting violence on him on national television.

We commiserate with the bereaved family in this difficult time and pray that Allah will give him a peaceful rest.
It’s not out of place to suggest that Ahmed Hussein-Suale’s murder was well orchestrated because of his role in the number 12 exposé which opened the Pandora’s box in Ghana’s football. As a youth oriented anti graft organisation, we join the numerous calls asking our security agencies to look into this matter with the needed sense of dispatch and seriousness to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to book.
Our enviable status relative to press freedom is under threat especially after hosting the 2018 edition of the World Press Freedom Day. We recall the words of Ms Anna Bossman, Ghana’s representative at the United Nations that “in accepting to host the 2018 edition of the World Press Freedom Day, Ghana wishes to demonstrate her commitment to the promotion of freedom of press within our national territorial boundaries, the African continent as a whole and the global community in general.”
