Smartphone makers, Itel Mobile, has outdoored hiplife artiste, Kuami Eugene as their brand ambassador.
The artiste signed a one-year contract with the company on Wednesday, July 4, 2019.
The signing ceremony took place at the Transsion Head Office at Circle in Accra.
Known in real-life as Eugene Kwame Marfo, the artiste who was recently named highlife artiste of the year at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards signed the agreement in the company of his management team from Lynx Entertainment and officials of Itel Mobile.
Kuami Eugene, after signing the agreement said he was excited to represent the brand.
He said he is optimistic that given the quality of Itel’s products, the value they offer to users and his wide fan base, he will be a good ambassador that will lead the brand to a higher level.
The Digital Marketing and Communications Manager for Itel Ghana, Michael Tuekpe, said, the decision to have Kuami Eugene as Itel’s ambassador was based on the fact that he is hardworking and a great inspiration to the youth.
“We all know about the sleek and quality phones produced by itel Ghana, hence we needed someone who can match up that trend and there was no one other than Kuami Eugene who is not only a hard working gentleman but also loved and inspired by the youth of Ghana. We believe he can assist us
reach the youth with our useful products,” the company said.
Itel Ghana is expected to launch a new mobile device in the selfie series which they are optimistic will do well in the market given the potential of their new brand ambassador.
