The Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is promising a free, fair and transparent election on August 26, 2023.
The Committee says it will ensure that all aspirants accept the outcome of the election.
Spokesperson for the Committee, Alexander Afenyo-Markin says the Committee will engage aspirants on a regular basis before the elections.
The spokesperson of the Committee who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Effutu constituency, Afenyo-Markin said the necessary processes have so far been laid with everything going according to plan.
“This is a family affair and everything is going so well. We are very happy with the processes and guidelines laid out so far, and it is not going to be the first time the NPP is going to have an internal contest. Ours is to have a vibrant and engaging conference, and we are going to ensure that internal democracy is upheld, and it is as simple as that.”
