The New Patriotic Party’s National Executive Council has nominated 118 aspirants for the parliamentary primaries in the Ashanti Region.
Delegates of the party will vote on January 27, 2024, to select candidates to represent the party in various constituencies in the December general elections.
The NEC has announced that all polls will be held at the constituency centres between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
While several aspirants have been cleared for the primaries, 118 candidates have been nominated to contest the polls in the Ashanti Region.
Meanwhile, five MPs have been cleared to run unopposed for the contest in the region.
This includes Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, Isaac Yaw Opoku, and Alex Blankson.
