The Upper East Regional Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rallied its support for Abdulai Abanga to be re-elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Binduri Constituency in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Describing him as a courageous and skillful leader, the NPP youth wing praised his efforts in transforming various sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, rural electrification, security, and economic empowerment among others.
The Upper East Regional Youth Organiser for the NPP, Salahudeen Musah Al-Khomieni, who addressed the press in the Binduri constituency said Mr Abanga who became the only NPP MP in the region after the 2020 elections if retained will enhance his ability to bring further developments to Binduri.
“Abanga is that man living and actualising the Binduri dream; a dream of progress, development, and prosperity for all. It is against this backdrop that the Upper East Regional Youth Wing of the NPP is by this statement, making a case for all the indigenes of Binduri, both home and abroad, and across the political divide to throw their weight and unflinching support behind Hon Abdulai Abanga and renew his mandate as the MP for the Binduri Constituency.”
The NPP Youth Wing said that the construction of Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds at Kpalugu, Sakpare, Atuba, and Gumyoko, construction of 6-unit classroom blocks at Vawku-Sapeligah, Bansi, Aniisi, Atuba, Binduri Central, Kulimvai and Poamire communities as well as provision of local and foreign scholarships to 10 students from the constituency have happened under Mr Abanga.
In water and sanitation, the statement said Mr Abanga who acquired a drilling rig in 2022 has so far constructed 144 hand pump boreholes, four electrically mechanised boreholes, and six solar powered-mechanised boreholes.
They added that the construction and rehabilitation of dams, and provision of modern toilet facilities to several communities are some other achievements of the MP.
The youth wing lauded his contributions to youth and sports, including the construction of an astroturf pitch, organising football tournaments, and providing employment opportunities for the youth.
“Politics is all about development and that is exactly what Hon Abanga and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia represent. He certainly deserves to be retained in parliament to continue with his good works. A vote for Abanga and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a vote for development; it is a vote for progress. It is a vote for the realisation of the Binduri and the Ghana dream,” the NPP Regional Youth Organiser stated.
