Nollywood star Stella Damasus has paid tribute to her late husband, Jaiye Aboderin, two decades after his untimely demise.

Aboderin, who passed away in 2004 after five years of marriage to Damasus, was remembered in a heartfelt ceremony.

Sharing the moment on Instagram, the actress revealed that she and her family revisited the site where he was laid to rest.

She explained that their now-grown children wanted to honour their father’s legacy, making the memorial deeply meaningful.

Damasus expressed gratitude for the strength to navigate the emotional occasion and thanked her family and friends for their unwavering support.

She stated: “Exactly 20 years ago today, my husband Jaiye Aboderin passed away. 20 years later, with his children grown enough to honour his legacy in the same place, we went back there.

“It was not easy to get through this, but I am grateful to God for strength. Special thanks to my family and friends who joined us and those who couldn’t make it but prayed and called.

“It is well with us. Jaiye is forever in our hearts. May his soul continue to rest in peace.”
