Renowned Ghanaian businessman, Ibrahim Mahama, has donated GH₵50,000 to Suzzy Adwoa Pinamang to support her living expenses following her return to Ghana after undergoing eye surgery in the United Kingdom.

Suzzy, a Form Two student of Adventist Senior High School, sustained a serious eye injury earlier this year after being accidentally shot. She recently underwent a successful procedure at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, one of the world’s top eye care institutions.

Her return was announced by Rafik Mahama, Special Aide to Ibrahim Mahama, via a Facebook post on June 26, 2025.

On Friday, July 4, Rafik Mahama visited Suzzy’s family and presented the GH₵50,000 cash donation on behalf of Mr. Mahama.

The donation is expected to cover Suzzy’s living expenses as she continues her recovery, pending a medical review scheduled for September 2025.

The grateful family and neighbours were visibly emotional, rolling on the floor in appreciation as they offered prayers for Ibrahim Mahama.

“We appreciate the support. God bless you, may God grant you and your family long life,” they said.

Suzzy Pinamang was flown to the United Kingdom on May 10, 2025, through the sponsorship of Ibrahim Mahama and with the assistance of Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her case captured public attention earlier this year after she sustained serious eye injuries from an accidental shooting, sparking calls for urgent medical intervention.

With the procedure now successfully completed, Suzzy Pinamang is expected to resume school in the coming weeks after returning to the country.
