Hollard Ghana, the country’s favourite insurance group with subsidiaries Hollard Insurance and Hollard Life Assurance, has been honoured with the Product Innovation Award for its flagship product, Asomdwee MSME Insurance, at the prestigious 2025 Ghana Insurance Awards, held at the plush Labadi Beach Hotel.

The Asomdwee MSME Insurance product satisfies the need for affordable, accessible, and comprehensive business protection tailored specifically for Ghanaian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. It offers financial security against business disruptions caused by fire, burglary, liability claims, and even life-threatening personal events such as disability or critical illness.

Through this innovative product, Hollard is empowering Ghana’s informal sector with peace of mind, business continuity, and a strong foundation for financial inclusion among underserved entrepreneurs.

Commenting on the win, Patience Akyianu, Group CEO of Hollard Ghana, said, “The award highlights Hollard’s dedication to creating customer-centric innovations that support meaningful economic participation and resilience. Asomdwee aligns strongly with the company’s purpose of enabling better futures”.

“We’re incredibly proud to receive this award for Asomdwee. It reflects our belief that everyone, regardless of their business size or income level, deserves protection. Asomdwee is our way of walking the talk when it comes to inclusive insurance. We’re helping Ghanaian MSMEs thrive by securing their future against the unexpected”, she added.

Available in tiered bronze, silver, and gold packages, Asomdwee allows MSMEs to choose cover levels that suit their operational needs and budgets, making insurance simple, practical, and relevant.

The insurance group also clinched two additional accolades on the night: the Customer Care Award for the second consecutive year, and the Unsung Hero Award presented to Wahab Hamidu Adams, Group Head of IT for Hollard Ghana. This remarkable triple win reflects Hollard’s strong culture of innovation, service excellence, and recognition of impactful leadership behind the scenes.
