Bolt Food Ghana has successfully signed partnerships with all major retail and grocery brands, solidifying its expansion into the grocery and retail space announced late last year.

The platform now brings all major grocery and retail brands onto the Bolt Food platform, including Melcom, Maxmart, Fairway, Palace, Sneda, and Kwikmart, as well as Telefonika, one of Ghana’s largest electronics chains. Beyond groceries and electronics, Bolt Food customers can also order from pharmacies, flower shops, pet care outlets, alcohol distributors, and frozen food providers, positioning the app as a holistic delivery platform and cementing its place as the country’s fastest-growing on-demand services. The move comes as the company celebrates its 5th anniversary, underscoring its long-term commitment to shaping the future of convenience and on-demand services in the market.

According to the company, this strategic expansion reflects both a response to changing customer behaviour and a long-term growth plan to diversify the platform beyond food delivery. With demand for digital convenience rising across Ghana, Bolt Food is positioning itself as a holistic partner to customers, local businesses, and couriers.

“This milestone shows how far we’ve come since announcing our entry into the grocery and retail space last year. By bringing Ghana’s leading retail and grocery brands onto the platform, we’re proving that Bolt Food is more than a food delivery app. It’s becoming the go-to platform for everyday essentials. Customers increasingly want one trusted platform that gives them access to everything they need, while retailers are seeking digital channels to reach more households. Our partnerships with major brands mark a strong step forward in reshaping convenience in Ghana and creating more opportunities for businesses and couriers alike.” said Ali Zaryab, General Manager, Bolt Food Ghana.

As Bolt Food marks its 5th year in Ghana, the company emphasized that the expansion is not only about customer convenience but also about empowering its ecosystem. By onboarding new retail categories, Bolt Food creates more earning opportunities for couriers, while also giving small and large businesses alike access to a wider customer base through digital channels.

Looking ahead, Bolt Food says it will continue to invest in strategic growth, technology upgrades, and new partnerships, with a focus on becoming Ghana’s most reliable and convenient platform for on-demand services.
