Businesses and corporate organisations are preparing for Ghana’s biggest corporate sports festival, the Citi Business Olympics 2025, scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Eden Heights Sports Complex.
The annual event, powered by Citi FM with support from Channel One TV, will bring together companies from across the country for a full day of competitive sports, networking, and wellness activities.
This year’s edition will place special emphasis on wellness and healthy living, alongside the usual competitions. Activities will include seven-aside football, volleyball, swimming, lawn tennis, and other networking games.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show on Friday, September 12, the Managing Director of Citi FM and Channel One TV, Samuel Attah-Mensah, highlighted what participants can expect, stressing the need for genuine corporate participation.
“We have three sessions of aerobics, one hour each. There will be three-hour sessions of real workout, one hour each. We will also have walk sessions, and we have a map around the estate. You have to be well-dressed and registered to take part in that.
“What we have discouraged in the past is companies coming with hired players or participants. And they are playing with high power. So, please don’t go and hire people. Come and let’s have fun,” he said.
In an earlier interview on Thursday, September 11, Mr. Attah-Mensah explained the broader purpose of the event.
“Business Olympics is put together to call for a break from the things that put pressure on us as organisations. We bring corporates together to engage in games, and we have been doing this for almost 20 years,” he said.
He further noted that companies will have the option to register for both the competitive sports and wellness programmes, ensuring inclusivity.
“We are looking at the angle of wellness. Some people come for the competition, and we recognise them with trophies. But others come not to compete — and for them, we are introducing different models such as aerobics sessions and wellness clinics where participants can check their vitals. Nutritionists and dieticians will also be available,” he explained.
Over the years, the Citi Business Olympics has established itself as the premier corporate sports and networking festival in Ghana. The 2025 edition promises to be another memorable experience for the business community.
