The family of the 38-year-old Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, who was allegedly murdered by his friend, has expressed frustration over the continuous adjournments of the case, indicating that the delays are deepening their pain.
Relatives, who travel from the Ashanti Region to Accra for every hearing, say the delays are not only deepening their pain but also draining them financially.
The case has been postponed yet again to October 22, as prosecutors wait for a forensic report before forwarding the docket to the Attorney-General’s office.
Meanwhile, outside the courtroom, the late officer’s sister, Emelia Obeng, disclosed that she had taken a slipper belonging to the prime suspect, Bright Aweh, for what she described as a spiritual exercise intended to make him suffer.
At the last sitting, the family also secured a slipper from the second accused, Thomas Zigah, also known as Nii Dzaase.
Amoah, 38, was reported missing on July 3, 2025, after leaving home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate. His charred body was later discovered on July 9 at Abuom Junction, near Kwabenya, sparking a manhunt and an intensive police investigation.
