Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has been elected President of the African Parliamentarians’ Network Against Corruption (APNAC) during the Network’s 9th Biennial General Meeting held in Accra.
Accepting the position, Speaker Bagbin expressed humility and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing integrity in public service and supporting Africa’s collective fight against corruption.
He extended appreciation to the outgoing President and Board Members for their dedication and leadership, acknowledging that their efforts had laid a solid foundation for the Network’s continued growth.
“The Network remains grateful for your commitment, collective wisdom, and lasting contribution,” he said, assuring members that he would collaborate closely with them to strengthen the Network’s vision and mission.
The newly elected APNAC President emphasised the importance of unity and partnership in achieving the Network’s goals.
He underscored that collaboration among members is crucial to enhancing parliamentary oversight, promoting accountability, and nurturing a continent where integrity becomes the norm.
