GAF extends recruitment deadline due to technical issues

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has extended its national recruitment deadline by one week due to technical problems with its online application portal.

The new deadline for submitting applications is now November 7, 2025. This gives more time to people interested in joining the Army, Navy, or Air Force to complete their applications.

The announcement was made in a statement released on October 31, 2025, by the Department of Public Relations at the GAF Headquarters in Burma Camp. The statement, signed by Colonel Evelyn Ntiamoah Asamoah, Acting Director General of Public Relations, explained that the extension was necessary after technical issues disrupted the first phase of the recruitment process.

Originally, the recruitment opened on October 1 and was supposed to end on October 31. The GAF apologised for the inconvenience and asked the public for patience as the process continues under the new timeline.

The recruitment is part of a government plan to strengthen Ghana’s defence forces by adding about 12,000 new personnel over the next three years.

Key details for applicants:

New deadline: November 7, 2025
Voucher cost: GH¢200, available at selected Ghana Post offices
Application website: [apply.mil.gh](http://apply.mil.gh)
Eligibility: Applicants must be Ghanaian citizens of good character, aged 18–25 for non-tradesmen and up to 27 for tradesmen
Verification: Centers are available in all 16 regional capitals

The GAF assured that every qualified applicant will have a fair chance to apply before the new closing date.
