Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, praising her for her distinguished service to Ghana and her enduring impact on national development.
Delivering a written tribute during her funeral rites at the Black Star Square on Friday, November 28, the former President said Nana Konadu would be remembered for her trailblazing and passionate advocacy for the rights of women and children.
“Nana Konadu will forever be remembered as a trailblazer,” he said.
Mr. Kufuor also reflected on the strong partnership between Nana Konadu and her late husband, former President Jerry John Rawlings, noting that together they championed and implemented policies that significantly shaped the country’s political and social evolution.
He further described Nana Konadu as a woman who blended her natural flair for fashion and the arts with a deep commitment to radical politics, leaving a lasting legacy of courage, conviction, and transformational leadership.
