The Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has paid a glowing tribute to the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, praising her lifelong dedication to national development and the empowerment of women and girls.
In a written tribute, the Vice President said Nana Konadu’s impact on Ghana would be felt for generations.
She described the late former First Lady as a passionate advocate whose work transformed lives across the country.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang highlighted Nana Konadu’s unwavering commitment to advancing the rights of women, men, and girls, noting that her influence was evident in her activism and policy advocacy.
“Her commitment to girl-child education was a mission she pursued with unwavering dedication and passion through her advocacy, mentorship, and countless initiatives,” she wrote.
“She opened doors for young people, inspiring them to dream boldly and equipping them with the tools to achieve those dreams,” she stated.
The Vice President added that Nana Konadu’s legacy would continue to shine through the many lives she touched.
“Nana Konadu’s legacy is written in the hearts she touched and the futures she helped shape,” she stated.
