President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to enter 2026 with renewed optimism, collective resolve and belief in the country’s future, calling on citizens to build on the foundations already laid.
In a reflective message on New Year Day, the President encouraged the nation to press forward with unity and confidence, stressing the importance of shared belief and determination in the national journey.
He challenged citizens to raise their ambitions and intensify efforts toward national development, noting that progress requires sustained hard work and bold thinking.
The President also linked Ghana’s future to the enduring ideals of its founding leaders, describing the country’s potential as both historic and attainable.
“As we enter 2026, let us move forward with confidence, determination, and faith. Faith in God, faith in Ghana, and faith in ourselves.
“Let us build on the foundation we have laid. Let us work harder, dream bigger, and achieve even greater things. Let us prove that the promise that inspired our founding fathers and the promise that has sustained us through trials and triumphs is not just a promise, but a prophecy waiting to be fulfilled,” he stressed
