The family of 25-year-old Inusah Gariba at Lugni in the Nanumba South District of the Northern Region is appealing to President John Dramani Mahama and the Inspector-General of Police to ensure justice for their son.
The deceased is alleged to have been killed by some individuals in the community over a land dispute.
His body was later discovered in a bush in a decomposing state.
According to his father, Danboka Gariba, his son was attacked and killed in the bush, and the family continues to receive threats from persons believed to be connected to the incident.
Speaking to Citi News on Wednesday February 25, Mr. Gariba called for swift justice and protection for his family.
Police visited the scene with a medical doctor, who conducted an autopsy and subsequently released the body to the family for burial.
The police say investigations into the incident are ongoing.
