The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has called on Muslims to use the holy month of Ramadan to promote peace, unity, and national development.
In a statement marking the commencement of the sacred period, the sector Minister, Ahmed Ibrahim, urged the Muslim Ummah to allow Ramadan to deepen their commitment to integrity, mutual respect and shared responsibility.
He described Ramadan as “a profound journey of faith, sacrifice and renewal,” noting that the disciplines of prayer, fasting and charity not only strengthen one’s relationship with Allah but also foster responsible citizenship and social cohesion.
