A residential apartment in Suame, Ashanti Region, has been destroyed following a fire outbreak on Wednesday, March 25.
The incident occurred at around 9:00 a.m.
Eyewitnesses acted swiftly to contain the situation, and officers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) later arrived to fully extinguish the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

The blaze reportedly destroyed valuables inside the apartment, with losses estimated to be worth thousands of Ghana cedis.
“I heard people shouting, and when I stepped outside, I saw everyone running for safety. Many valuable items worth thousands of cedis were destroyed. We tried to control the fire using water and washing powder,” Yussif, an eyewitness recounted.
Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the fire, and investigations are ongoing.
