The Cocoa Marketing Company (Ghana) Limited (CMC) on Saturday held a vibrant staff wellness exercise dubbed the “Rep Your Jersey Health Walk,” reinforcing its commitment to promoting a healthy, safe, and productive workforce.
The early morning walk, which commenced at Ayimensah and brought together staff from the Head Office and Tema operations, saw an impressive turnout marked by energy, unity, and strong team spirit.
Leading from the front was the Managing Director, Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey, who participated in the exercise alongside members of top management and staff across various departments. His presence underscored the Company’s leadership commitment to staff welfare beyond the workplace.

Speaking after the walk, Dr. Dogbey reaffirmed management’s dedication to building a work environment that prioritises both physical and mental well-being.
“Our people are our greatest asset. Initiatives like this are essential. A healthy workforce is a productive workforce, and we must be deliberate about creating opportunities that support both physical fitness and mental wellness,” he stated.
The Managing Director further threw his full support behind the initiative, announcing plans for the Health Walk to be organised on a quarterly basis as part of CMC’s broader employee engagement and wellness strategy.

“This is not a one-off activity. We are institutionalising it. Every quarter, we will create space for our staff to step away from routine, reconnect, and invest in their health,” he added.
The theme for the walk, “Ensuring a Healthy Psychosocial Working Environment to Improve Worker Well-being, Mental Health, and Safety,” reflects CMC’s ongoing efforts to foster a supportive and balanced workplace culture.

Participants described the event as refreshing and impactful, noting that it provided an opportunity to connect with colleagues, relieve stress, and reinforce a sense of belonging within the organisation.
