KGL Group has demonstrated its commitment to tax compliance by presenting GHS 153 million in corporate income tax to the Ghana Revenue Authority at a ceremony held in Accra.
The payment forms part of the company’s broader contribution to national development and reflects its position that paying taxes is a shared responsibility in building a strong economy.

Speaking at the event on Thursday April 16, Executive Chairman of KGL Group, Alex Apau Dadey, said the company sees tax payment as a way of giving back to the country.
“At KGL, we create value, and we share that value responsibly. Paying tax is not a burden; it is our contribution from what we have achieved as a business operating in this country. It is how we give back to the community that makes our success possible,” he said.
He disclosed that the Group’s total financial contributions to the state this year go beyond the latest payment.
“In 2025 alone, we made a total of GHS 350 million in direct payments to the state, out of which one hundred and eighty million Ghana cedis (GHS 180 million) was remitted to the National Lottery Authority (NLA). These are responsibilities we take seriously and wholeheartedly embrace,” he added.

Mr Dadey noted that the contribution highlights the growing role of local companies in supporting Ghana’s development.
“Ghanaian companies have the discipline, integrity, and capability to support the country’s development agenda while competing at the highest levels,” he stated.
Beyond taxes, KGL Group continues to invest in community development through its foundation, supporting projects across the country. The company has also contributed to sports development, including support for the Black Stars, as well as infrastructure projects such as the KGL–EVE Medical Centre in Kumasi and the University of Ghana Alumni Centre.
Officials at the Ghana Revenue Authority commended the Group for its compliance, describing such contributions as essential for government to deliver key development projects.
KGL Group also expressed appreciation to John Dramani Mahama for his continued support for indigenous businesses, stating that it remains committed to policies that promote local enterprise and long-term economic growth.
