Ghanaian music icon Okyeame Kwame marked his 50th birthday with a lively celebration filled with music, colour and industry personalities.

The event took place on Saturday, April 18, at +233 Jazz Bar & Grill in Accra and was hosted by Channel One TV, running from the evening into the early hours of Sunday.

Rather than a conventional gathering, the night unfolded as a live showcase, with Okyeame Kwame taking centre stage to perform a selection of his well-known hits. The repertoire included Clap, Woso, Sika, Faithful, Small Small, Kokoko, Mere Twen Wo, Woara, Odo Wohe, Try Another and One in a Million, among others, drawing enthusiastic response from guests.

He was later joined on stage by Frema Adunyame, Head of Events and Partnerships at Channel One TV and Citi FM, alongside several guest artistes who added collaborative performances to the night’s entertainment.

Okyeame Kwame later cut his birthday cake with support from his family, management of Channel One TV/Citi FM, and other prominent personalities present.
